Returns Policy
At The Wool Merchants, we are committed to ensuring our customers are completely satisfied with their purchase. Our returns policy allows you to return items within 30 days of receiving them.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, items must meet the following criteria:
- Unworn, unwashed, uncut, and unused.
- In the original condition with tags attached.
- In the original packaging.
- Accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and Issues
At The Wool Merchants, we take quality seriously. All fabric is thoroughly inspected before shipping. Minor imperfections and fabric defects within the acceptable threshold do not qualify for returns.
- Fabric is inspected before shipping to meet these high standards.
- Items that have been cut, altered, or used are non-returnable.
- If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately (within 7 days of delivery) so we can resolve the issue. After 7 days, damage claims are no longer valid.
- If you receive the incorrect fabric, please contact our support team within 7 days of delivery for assistance.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain products cannot be returned under any circumstances:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Health and personal care items
- Cutting fees
- Custom cut fabric (as per customer request)
- Expedited shipping and processing fees
- Swatches
- Custom-made items (such as rod pockets, table covers, etc.)
- Scrap boxes
- Final Sale items
If you are uncertain about the return eligibility of a specific item, please reach out to us for clarification.
Exchanges
To exchange an item, the best option is to return the item you have and, once the return is processed, place a new order for the desired item.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you about the status of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to finalize the refund.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company (refund processing times may vary).
- Contact your bank, as there is often a delay before the refund is posted.
- If you’ve followed these steps and still haven’t received your refund, please contact us at support@thewoolmerchants.com.
Gifts
If the item was purchased as a gift and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the return value. Once the return is processed, we will send you a gift certificate.
If the gift was shipped to the giver, the refund will be sent to them, and they will be informed of the return.
Shipping Costs
You are responsible for the return shipping costs. These costs are non-refundable. If your return is eligible for a refund, the cost of the original shipping will be deducted from the refund.
Please note, The Wool Merchants is not liable for any charges related to alterations or sewing services performed on the fabric after it’s been shipped.

The time it takes for an exchanged item to reach you will vary depending on your location.
